SW433 – Skylight Flasher

The bottom line is that I am disappointed with this purchase… This device is only flashed for 15 seconds and then stop when the alarm scheme is activated. It is not sufficient time to alarm for deaf people. It would be helpful and worthful for the deaf persons if the device is proceeds flashing until it is turned off.

Works well, but does not synch-off with motion detectors

I’ve been using this gadget for around 3 months with no problems. Please note that it is not battery activated and needs an electrical outlet. Also, it does not synch off with the same brand radio controller (e.g., It works with the motion detectors, but will not turn off when you turn the motion detectors off). It will work if you buy the control panel.

15-second flasher not worth the shipping costs.

I purchased this item after speaking to a SmartHome representative that told me it would turn on a light and pass power. However, she failed to tell me that this would only be for 15-seconds of pulsing power, and lead me to believe this feature could be deactivated. This device can not be programed by the SC100 base unit, and only works with a door sensor or motion sensor. Considering the cost, one would think the unit would be more dynamic. I have communicated with SmartHome in regards to my dissatisfaction, but have not received a reply. Additionally, the unit is commended to turn on a radio as well, but then again for only 15-seconds of on-and-off power that could perchance destruct such electronics. If you are giving careful consideration to purchasing this unit, take into considerateness the above review. 15-seconds may not sufficient time to aid a deaf person that may be asleep, or a blind person even with an alarm attached.
