Great solution for GPS placement

I don’t like my GPS on the windshield. I have a mini-van and mounting the GPS on the windshield puts it in the sun and makes it hard to reach for operation or installation and removal. This takes care of that rather neatly. It is solidly built and the flexible arm and adaptable ball mount give you the capacity to position the unit wherever you need it. The cup mount has a tightening wheel to lock the mount in the cup holder too. Finally, the portion that genuinely attaches to the GPS is modular. You may get other mounts for other brands of GPS, so you’re covered if you own more than one brand or upgrade in the future. All you’ll need to buy is the end piece.

A Good GPS Holder

I purchased this GPS unit holder because I felt it would make the best use of the fixed mounting spaces available on the dash of my Subaru. This device fits in an existent cupholder, and it locks in with an adaptable screw activated by a thumbwheel. The GPS unit itself sits securely in the top plate, which is perfectly designed and sized to fit the base of a TomTom GPS unit. But the vertical shaft amidst these two constituents is not (as I had expected from the illustrations) a flexible gooseneck, but a rigid shaft which won’t bend to permit position adjustments. While I would prefer to have the adjustment that a flexible gooseneck would provide, I find that the device is utile in that it keeps the GPS in sight and out of the way.

Put this on myself on a 2010 Toyota FJ. Takes longer than the estimate if you do not have air tools (which I do but did not want to drag all that stuff out). Took in regards to an hour. Very well made hitch, and Amazon was a large total for less than everwhere else including ebay. The FJ tow loop was a hag, had to use a 2 foot long half inch ratchet and yank a few times. Looks much better than the toyota factory hitches. Very manly. Didnt need the fish wire for anything. Would highly reccomend this hitch. Made in USA, YAY.

Great hitch; easy install

I installed this on a 2007 Toyota FJ Cruiser. It is finelooking much a ‘bolt on’ process; I was capable to do it solo without too much trouble (if you may hold up 25-30 lbs with one arm, you’ll be capable to do the same). My greatest problem was getting the factory tow ‘loop’ off.

The only tricky percentage of the install is the step that requires you to wire-fish two 7/16 carriage bolts through a square spacer. Your mileage may vary, but I found that the fish-wire method was actually more difficult than plainly using a magnet to pull the bolt through. Unless you have very thick fingers, you shouldn’t have any problem getting the square spacer into place. Rare-earth magnets (like you may ordinarily get in stores now for super-strong fridge magnets) work very well for this. The one bolt I tried to do their way slipped out and I had a bit of fun locating it and bringing it back to where I could grab it. The one I did ‘wrong’ was a piece of cake.. That said, the above fish-wire percentage may not implement to your vehicle. This being my firstborn hitch install, I have no idea how mutual it is.

But that last bit says it all.. This was my primary ever hitch install and I had the thing on by myself in less than an hour. Two days later it proved it is mettle, hooked to a tow-strap/airplane towing cable combining as it pulled over a shed.. No difficultnesses at all.

I do commend a hitch cover even though as the mount sticks out further than I expected on my vehicle and one could effortlessly bang their shin/knee into it..

Has great features, but range is disappointing

After looking at respective models of emergency phone dialers, the skylink has some outstanding features. It’s easy to install, has a covered button to prevent accidental calls, holds up to nine numbers and allows you to set how long it rings at each number. Our family purchased this device for my grandmother to be competent to access aid in the the event of a fall. The only problem we have had is the instructions say the pendant has a 100 foot range, but in my grandmother’s home it does not cover an area closely that large. Prior to our buy of this unit we had purchased and returned another brand due to the difficultness installing and a lot of untrue calls due to a sensible button with no cancel feature, which the sky link has. The skylink also begins playing a message over the speaker which lets the user know the system has been activated and the message ends when an individual responds. Not so great

Don’t suppose to be capable to put any accessaries in this. It will fit the TomTom XL 340 S and not one thing else! Plus, the case smelled very strongly of smoke. The price is cheap, but not worth it unless you only want a case for the actual device and not one thing else.

works but may find for less alternatives

It works. It does get the occupation done, nevertheless any hardware store (or even scrapyard) may give you a piece of black iron or galvanized pipe (or long pipe nipple) that will do the same thing. It does have a nice bend in the handle, which is nice for trailers with tanks/boxes on the tongue or other tight areas) however, You could bend or put an elbow in any piece of steel pipe to have the precise same thing (minus the rubber handle)

This is a good cam for the price. The only down fall is it only has when it comes to 60 degrees of veiw. If you plan on putting this someplace and you want to see up close do not get it. five feet infront of my truck and all you may see is the windshield. If i point it at the house next door( regarding 200ft) you may see there whole house and yard.

Not Bad for the Money

This security camera does a good occupation for the money. I in truth mounted it indoors to monitor the main living space of our home with a digital DVR programed in motion detection mode. The picture quality is okay for what I need it to do, easy to recognize people, but the colors are washed out, and I would be a lot happier if this unit had a better wide angle view. Great fun! And a comprehensive system

Lots of widgets to secure your home. Most geeky is the smoke alarm that is wireless and sets the security alarm if there is smoke! Two of the three sirens are triggered wirelessly. Manual is finish but terse. Lots of door/window sensors. Wish there was a garage door sensor. Glass break sensor was missing in my package, nevertheless the vendor shipped it without delay when I reported the issue.

Cons:

If you use the keychain or secondary keypad to switch off the remote when entering home, the main unit is reset. I would have liked to know if the alarm was tripped and which sensor tripped it when I was away.

When leaving or entering home the delay may be 0 or 1 minute but not, say 20 seconds.

Not sure if buttons on base unit and secondary keypad will last a long time – they seem like the buttons on numerous remotes that do not work after a couple of years – I will keep my fingers crossed.

Motion sensor has a bright red LED – distracting in evenings/night.

Screws for attaching motion sensors to walls/studs are missing.

I purchased the AAS V600 one week ago, the marketer shipped it out immediately. The
product is great, delivering all functionalities as it promised. Yet it does look cheap, and I hope it sticks with the test of time. But I
won’t complain on that because of the price. I am VERY content with regards to the powerful functionalities of V-series AAS controller: it has 99
zones, including door chime zone and power zone to eliminate untrue alarms; it has good dial up functionalities which would call couple of
phone numbers once alarm triggered; you may likewise access the machine by way of phone. If landline is not available, you may still arm the system,
if triggered, it would still keep armed and useful. It’s in truth an lowcost solution with professional system functions.

This thing Rocks!

The AAS-V700 is the best bang for the buck! I had heard horror stories from friends in regards to other productions like this one. One had trouble on install where not one thing would program. Another had purchased one and the manual was in Chinese only. They cautioned me to be leery and ready for a headache before getting it all working. Nothing of the sort with this product. The manual, while not the best manual I have read, is still easy to follow and I was competent to get the whole scheme installed and working in when it comes to two hours. I did not install everything. My wife and I were looking to just secure windows and doors at this time, but it was a breeze. Now the double sided tape does work rather well, so test before you stick. Although, run a rag or wipe the area you are adhering it to. Dirt does get in the way. I kept sensors in place and opened and closed windows before stinking anything. It worked great. The map idea made it easy also. The remote keypad took a little figuring on mounting it. I do plan on adding more of the sensors and detectors around as I get more time to dive deeper into it and genuinely get a nice system set up. As far as I am concerned, this is a outstanding scheme and is well worth the cash spent.
