World Travel Voltage Converter Adapter Kit

International Voltage Converter Adapter Kit This converter enables the traveler to use 110 volt little electronic items and appliances, including hair dryers, heating pads, radio/cassette players, irons, etc. in countries that have 220/240 AC power. This Dual Wattage converter has two settings: 50 watt setting: Designed for answering machines, tape recorders, radio/cassette/cd players, calculators,etc.(Max. 1600 watts) 1600 watt setting: Designed for heat-related appliances including hair dryers, curlers, irons, heating pads, electric blankets, etc. (max 1600 watts) Foreign electricity (220/240V) is dissimilar from usual U.S. electricity (110/120V). To use your travel gimmicks overseas, you ought to use a converter to reduce alien electricity, otherwise, you will burn your appliances and they will not operate. Using this converter is simple. Just plug it into alien outlet, select the desired wattage setting, then plug your appliance into the female side of the converter, and use your appliance as you would at home. This converter comes with five adapter plugs for those countries which require pins of dissimilar sizes and shapes. This adapters will work in: * Europe * Australia & New Zealand. * North & South America & Caribbean. * Africa, Asia & Middle East. * Great Britain & Hong Kong. Comes in a commodious case so you may always have it handy. Overall dimensions(case): 5.75″ x 4″ x 2.75″ Sealed in introductory package.

If you plan to travel out of the country you need to recognise when it comes to voltage converters. Why? Because not all countries use the same voltage, so your gimmicks may not work in another country unless you convert the voltage. A voltage converter changes the voltage of an electrical appliance so you may use it in other areas of the world.

Much of the western hemisphere and a heap of emplacements in the Pacific operate on 110 volts. Most other countries use 220 volts, and a great deal of countries use both 110 volts and 220 volts. So-called step down voltage converters alter the voltage from 220 to 110. Similarly, step up voltage converters modify the voltage from 110 to 220.

Some appliances, including sure battery charges, operate in a voltage range than spans from 110 or underneath to 220 and above, for example 100 volts to 240 volts. Such appliances are considered dual voltage and will operate in either 110 or 220 environments without a converter or transformer. The voltage rating on the appliance will give you that information. These widgets may, however, need a plug adapter to fit into outlets in other countries. Certain new models of hairdryers are dual voltage and come with plug adapters and folding handles, making them idealisti for alien travel.

You may buy a little travel converter or a voltage converter transformer. A little converter will only work with lightweight widgets such as electric clocks or shavers. You may be competent to plug in various gimmicks to a single transformer, but a little travel converter is designed for use with one appliance at a time. Heating appliances, televisions, power tools, and coffee makers are mutual examples of merchandise that require voltage transformers.

While voltage converters do not modify the wattage of widgets (they only change the voltage), you will have to know the wattage requirements of your instrumentation in order to buy the suitable size of transformer. Step up and step down voltage converter transformers range from 100-watt capacity to deluxe automative voltage regulators with over 3000-watt capacity.

Laptop converters/adapters, also known as AC/DC power adapters, are designed specifically for battery chargers, laptops, and similar electronic devices. They ascertain safe voltage conversion in alien countries.

When you travel you may want a power strip/surge protector to prevent overloading and for other safety precautions, just as you might use one back home. Universal power strips with surge shelter work in both 110-volt and 240-volt systems. Look for a power strip that accepts plugs from as some dissimilar regions as possible.

Travel is stimulating and stressful. When you effort into environments that are dissimilar from your own it helps to have numerous intimate creature comforts. How disappointing it would be to come back to your accommodations after a long day of business or sightseeing in a alien country and find that you cannot use your laptop or multisystem TV or DVD player. A little preparation will assure that you have the right voltage converter and plug adapters so you may use your appliances. A reputable and cognition vendor of electronics may advise you.

1Garbage
By W. Kilgore
Bought this for a trip to Ireland. Thought I necessitated it for a hair dryer. As it turned out, I only used it to charge a camera battery.

Plugged it in for one night on the 50W setting, everything looked normal and the battery was charging. The next morning the converter was dead. Couldn’t tell whether or how much the batter genuinely charged. The converter never worked again.

Absolute trash.

5Worked outstanding on my trip to England and France
By Traveller
I purchased this for travel to England and France. It worked great. I used the converter for my shaver and battery charger. Since, both of my item were less than 50 watts, I set it the converter to 50W. The adapter plugs were in truth handy for charging my iPod and laptop which didn’t require a voltage converter. This item works outstanding as long as you use it correctly. I would commend this product to others.

1Bad Quality
By Smarty_pants
I thought I was doing myself a favor by saving cash and buying a cheap converter, but I was gravely mistaken! First of all, the converter itself does not plug in securely to the adapter. Secondly, whatsoever you plug into the converter does not plug in securely and hangs halfway out! Thirdly, after having the thing for three weeks, it exploded and died. DO NOT BUY. Go someplace and spend the $20 or $30, so you may return it if you need to!
