How may I get more out of my cell phone batteries? In today’s environment, a cell phone is not only a luxuriousness item but a necessity, and if you use your cell phone as most humans do for business and personal reasons, then you have noticed that battery life has become more demanding. Cell phone batteries are a critical piece of the puzzle, but with proper care you increase battery life and keep your cell phone operational for longer periods of time.

Phone prices may range from $20 into the hundreds and give you the choices of playing music, browsing the internet, taking pictures and even shooting video. I wanted to pass along some helpful hints on how to extend the battery life and help educate you on a great deal of little things that will make a huge difference.

- Make sure you follow the guidelines provided by the factory on how to the right way charge and discharge your battery. Most new model phones have lithium-ion batteries, while others have nickel based batteries, the label located on the battery will have to provide you with that information. The Nickel based batteries tend to lose battery life if not charged properly, you ought to let the battery totally discharge before charging again. If you partially charge the battery a few times, the battery will forget and will think it is totally charged, and will later have to be reconditioned. A lithium-ion battery does not have to be reconditioned, the battery after being totally discharged will have to be to the full or entire extent charged, but do not keep it on the charger for long periods of time. Only use the charger that came with the phone, irrespective of the battery type.

- Another way to extend the life of a cell phone battery is to keep it cool, so don’t leave your cell phone in your car where it may be exposed to sunlight, exuberant use at high temperatures will cause the battery to lose galore life, and will in the long run cause the cell phone battery to fail.

- You need to initialize a brand new battery even if the indicator on the phone tells you otherwise, so it may obtain greatest or most complete or best possible capacity. Nickel batteries need to be charged and discharged 2-4 times and will have to have an primary charge of at least 16 hours. The lithium-ion batteries need to charge for 4-6 hours before using, depending on the model.

Note: Its a good idea not to to a complete degree discharge a lithium-ion battery, the cell phone batteries life is shortened each time you entirely discharge them, rather when the battery indicator gets to one bar, go in front and recharge.

- Battery storage is probably something most of us have never heard before, but if your not using your cell phone batteries for a long amount of time of time, store them in a cool place and not next to any metal objects. Its not necessary to freeze the batteries, and make sure that the battery is not exposed to any moisture. Lithium batteries will not operate in refrigerated temperatures, so let the battery sit at room temperature for an hour or so prior to use. You always need to recharge the battery after storing.

- Keep the battery contacts clean on the phone, over time the contacts will pile up dirt, you will want to keep the contacts clean so that you get greatest or most complete or best possible energy transfer. Try cleaning them with rubbing alcohol by dabbing the area with a cotton swab. If you have any corrosion, fretting perhaps the cause, which is when you have 2 dissimilar metal types, like gold and tin, that make up the contacts. If there is corrosion, utilise a heap of acetone or nail polish remover with a Q-Tip to refrain from detrimental the plastic case.

Hopefully these helpful hints will give your cell phone batteries a longer battery life and increase your cell phone usage time.

I necessitated these batteries for galore Honda remote head keys, I have two Hondas and 4 keys for each. I purchased the firstborn battery at Radio Shack for $5. When I saw the price on these, I thought there was a mistake. But, there wasn’t. I employed one already and it works fine. A great value.

I purchased this for my lexus car key. This battery is Maxell made in Japan. Excellent value. I found it cost $5 for one in local store. I purchased here 5 for less than that price. The only thing I don’t like is I can’t find expiration date stamped any where.
