Energizer Lithium coin Watch/electronic Battery, size 2032, 2 pack, hi-tech minature battery for your electronics from health and fitness widgets to books and games

Lithium batteries are all the rage now, and they have surely unseated the good old alkaline battery for a lot of very good reason. Being competent to last more than twice as long means a much better value for money. Sure, they are more or less more pricy than their alkaline counterparts, but this price comes at a distinct vantage of having your appliance last for much, much longer than usual. This length may from time to time reach 3 – 5 times the envisioned use time. This article will talk about a good deal of of the outstanding features of lithium batteries and why they are taking the electronic mobile world by storm.

Firstly, what is the difference? Well plainly put, in a lithium battery, lithium metal or compounds are used as the battery’s anode and this means that it may invent up to and over 4.0V – which is much more than zinc carbon and alkaline batteries. For buyer use, the most mutual incarnation of the lithium battery is the one that uses a metallic lithium as the anode and the cathode is placed in the hands of manganese dioxide. Salt of lithium is dissolved in the battery in an organic solvent. Because of their high energy density, these batteries have found their apps in a heap of long life, low drain critical gadgets for both buyers and the medical industries. A good example is that the medical industry has seen great success in switching their pace manufacturers over to using lithium batteries.

Small lithium batteries are the best incarnations of this engineering because it is competent to power efficaciously appliances like PDA’s, watches, calculators, little computers and remotes rather efficaciously over a long amount of time of time. Their high energy density and their energy to weight symmetry makes it an splendid choice to make sure that an appliance will run for a very long time without worry of swapping or perpetually charging the battery. The most mutual one is the little lithium battery – resembling not one thing more than a coin, this 3 V assortment is made up of lithium and manganese and is with regards to 20 mm in diameter and no thicker than a little coin. Not only fixed to these little electrical appliances, lithium batteries are also outstanding for quick drain high energy gimmicks like digital cameras, as they may maintain a higher voltage for a longer amount of time of time. Their recharge times are also principally shorter than alkaline rechargeable batteries.

Many major makers are turning their attention to bettering the lithium engineering science and extend the life of the battery to longer periods and shorter recharge times. As appliances get more and more perplexed as the years go by, these outstanding lithium batteries need to adjust as well. More complex chemical compoundings and use of new space aged metals will concede the battery life to extend even further. Who knows, in the near future, we might have a veritable nuclear power plant in the palm of our hands. Technology has always been competent to surprise us. For now, the world is rather comfortable with a lot of of the best lithium batteries out there.

2one battery in the pack was dead on arrival

One of the batteries I received, was dead on arrival-Could be a fluke (which it in all likelihood is) but, I just want you the buyer to know.

43.23 V, (C)2006 foil blister packs
By Rewards
I purchased these batteries based on two of Not Me’s great reviews:

- this product “entry” (see more below) on December 31, 2010 (titled “Fresh, Price is decent”)
- the product “Energizer Lithium Coin Blister Pack Watch/Electronic Batteries, 2 – Count (Pack of 12)” on December 30, 2010 (titled “Don’t be slanged by shelf life claims”)

Sadly, these batteries arrived in the “ghetto” foil blister packs normally found on Amazon. Fortunately, they test at 3.23 V even though they are the (C)2006 Made in Japan stock.

Bottom line? It looks like Amazon keeps product entries and reviews even when the provider changes. It’s buyer beware when purchasing batteries by way of Amazon.

Also, where does Not Me live? I can not find two CR2032 for $3.69 anyplace locally (I’ve looked at super markets, Target, Walgreens, CVS)

5Fresh, Price is decent
By Not Me
I ordered in Dec 2010 and got expiration March 2018 (c) 2010 batteries with an open voltage of 3.4V, which confirms they are the real, fresh thing, and have not been subjected to any heat while “on the shelf”. Storage in a warm climate (prolonged over 100 degrees, for example) will accelerate the on the shelf discharge of these batteries. I expected a 10-year use-by date, but the (c) 2010 was more or less re-assuring that they were lately made. Ordered and directly “sold by” from Amazon.com. Others were somewhat less costly but a heap of negative remarks on 2006 copyright dates on the packages had me make the Amazon.com as the vender decision. Others have reported 2.8V from 3rd party venders and four year old batteries so I am very pleased this worked out well for me.
