one battery in the pack was dead on arrival

One of the batteries I received, was dead on arrival-Could be a fluke (which it in all likelihood is) but, I just want you the buyer to know.

3.23 V, (C)2006 foil blister packs
By Rewards
I purchased these batteries based on two of Not Me’s great reviews:
- this product “entry” (see more below) on December 31, 2010 (titled “Fresh, Price is decent”)
- the product “Energizer Lithium Coin Blister Pack Watch/Electronic Batteries, 2 – Count (Pack of 12)” on December 30, 2010 (titled “Don’t be slanged by shelf life claims”)
Sadly, these batteries arrived in the “ghetto” foil blister packs normally found on Amazon. Fortunately, they test at 3.23 V even though they are the (C)2006 Made in Japan stock.
Bottom line? It looks like Amazon keeps product entries and reviews even when the provider changes. It’s buyer beware when purchasing batteries by way of Amazon.
Also, where does Not Me live? I can not find two CR2032 for $3.69 anyplace locally (I’ve looked at super markets, Target, Walgreens, CVS)

Fresh, Price is decent
By Not Me
I ordered in Dec 2010 and got expiration March 2018 (c) 2010 batteries with an open voltage of 3.4V, which confirms they are the real, fresh thing, and have not been subjected to any heat while “on the shelf”. Storage in a warm climate (prolonged over 100 degrees, for example) will accelerate the on the shelf discharge of these batteries. I expected a 10-year use-by date, but the (c) 2010 was more or less re-assuring that they were lately made. Ordered and directly “sold by” from Amazon.com. Others were somewhat less costly but a heap of negative remarks on 2006 copyright dates on the packages had me make the Amazon.com as the vender decision. Others have reported 2.8V from 3rd party venders and four year old batteries so I am very pleased this worked out well for me.
