Sylvania SilverStar High Performance Halogen Headlight is fashioned for more splendid and whiter light. It has dual filament for both high beam and low beam. This operates with internal gas pressure which significantly reduces the rate of tungsten evaporation. Its analogous non-halogen incandescent lamp operates the same filament temperature with more outstanding luminance and efficiency. This combined effect of higher pressure and the halogen cycle give halogen lamp much longer life.

BULD BURN-OUT ISSUE SOLVED!

For various years I was having a problem with the Sylvania Silverstar bulbs burning out each 6 to 12 months. I loved the light so much that I endured it and substituted them with the same bulb.
I was using the exercise of letting the Camry turn the lights on mechanically with a turn of the ignition key. The procedure was (1) lights turn on (2) engine starts. I could see the lights flutter a little for the duration of the starting process.
I then experimented by manually turning on the lights AFTER the car was started. It has now been 2 years with NO BULB BURNOUTS. I believe turning the ignition with the lights already in automati on brings about extra wear and tear resulting in more popular burn-outs.

easier to fit connectors with the XS suffix

the 9006XS will fit most 9006 non XS apps fine even even though it says it is not compatible. the only divergence is the angle of the connector end. XS is straight and non XS is 90deg. I have a 96 Honda Accord Ex Coupe. Yes the lights are by far way better than the stock bulbs. i highly commend it to those who have no need for HIDs.
